1PRIDE is two things in one:
- A learning ladder that takes you from zero to a deployable analytics app, built on real NFL data via nflverse.
- A portfolio piece for the job search that proves SQL, Python, modeling, and full-stack data depth.
Built for one person first. Designed so other fans — Lions or otherwise — can run it.
Why a football-org structure
Section titled “Why a football-org structure”Three reasons the structure earns its keep:
Stakes you actually care about. Lions football, Dan Campbell era. Domain familiarity removes the friction of pretending to care about a fake dataset.
A clean unlock loop. Each level has a capstone and an unlock criterion. You move up because you shipped the artifact, not because a week passed.
A natural seniority arc. Analyst pulls stats, Position Coach compares groups, Head Coach makes situational calls, GM builds models, Owner ships the platform. The org chart is the curriculum.

The dudes — Campbell-era core

The offense Campbell calls “the dudes.” The defense Aaron Glenn built around Hutchinson. Every challenge and capstone in this curriculum lives and dies with these names.
A note on branding
Section titled “A note on branding”1PRIDE uses Lions stats, public player names, public press-conference quotes, and a Honolulu-Blue-ish palette because all of that is descriptive and not trademarkable. The official Detroit Lions logo, the NFL shield, real broadcast imagery, official player photography, and team-branded merchandise designs do not appear here. 1PRIDE is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Detroit Lions, the NFL, or any NFLPA-licensed entity.
The data layer is built so any team can be swapped in as the default.
